“There are no bad parts, only parts in pain.”

- Richard Schwartz

A bookshelf filled with books, representing the many parts of the self in Internal Family Systems (IFS) therapy.

Internal Family Systems (IFS)

IFS is a therapeutic approach that views the mind as a system of different “parts,” each with its own thoughts, emotions, and intentions. These parts develop to help us navigate life, but sometimes they take on extreme roles due to past wounds. At the core of IFS is the idea that we all have a Self—a wise, compassionate presence within us that can lead with clarity and healing.

How IFS Can Help

Through IFS, you’ll learn to:

  • Understand and unburden your parts—especially those carrying pain, fear, or self-criticism.

  • Cultivate Self-leadership by accessing your inner calm, clarity, and confidence.

  • Heal past wounds without shame or judgment.

  • Reduce internal conflict and find more harmony within.

  • Build compassion for all parts of you.
